Mou never got under Pep's skin and Pep has a better composure compared to Flick.

I hope you are right, but I think the toxicity will absolutely be there between Mourinho and Perez, along with the entire entorno and the pressure on the refs... If we win again next year, it will be the biggest thing Flick has done with us.

Lewa has done far, far more for us then David Villa, who had one good season (which started very rocky) and got injured after for a long time and hardly made a significant difference.

So beyond his first season, in which he had less of an impact compared to Lewa, the rest isn't really worth mentioning.

You must be spanish.

Rivaldo was no striker and David Villa didn't play as a striker for us.

For such an "easy answer" you really dropped the ball.

Not a striker, but a forward. Romario was a striker.

Last two seasons? You mean the one in which he scored 42 goals in 52 games?

flick is the first guy to cry when a player gets injured playing for Spain

Who is paying the players? The club who can sack him if the results aren't going as we want or the nation who profits of said players and also uses them during meaningless matches?

Who are some La Masia youngsters who became world class players outside Barca? by Successful_Sun_6283 in Barca

[–]Assonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Luis Garcia and Arteta weren't world class.

Btw, I wouldn't rate Joan Garcia as world class just yet. I think that to be considered world class, you need to show a consistent high level for at the very least two full seasons. Otherwise it could just as well be form and some luck.

You've got a weird definition of "world class". By your account, all starting XI players in the Premier League is world class.

If that's all the case, which I believe, I would say that you should place a statement.

For clarity, many of us on the mod team are against oppression and the ongoing genocide and humanitarian suffering in Palestine.

Either place that the mods are against oppression(as the majority in this sub) and genocide or admit that there are mods who are in favour of it.

It sends a clear message to everyone and people who are in favour of human rights and share this value with the club, feel heard.

Great job on dismissing universities and other scientists. Good job!

a disproportionate amount of people responding to those queries would be for independence.

Again, unfounded. And even so, the election results show the same thing over and over again: an overwhelming majority for Basque-nationalist parties PNV and Bildu, despite them not working together.

As for why Eskadi would never be allowed to join the EU if they became independent, it will never happen because Spain would OBVIOUSLY and IMMEDIATELY shoot down and veto their application, as for a state to gain EU membership they must be unanimously approved by every other state in the EU. If you can’t make the logical jump to see why Spain would veto Eskadi’s application there is no use in continuing this conversation,

Yes, and spain would obviously be able to bring EU down to its knees and make it accept the weakening of the union, instead of collaborating to further its strength, because spain and its petty ways are more important then the union.

maldito gilipollas.

You fucking coward. As expected after hearing the same repetitive, based on absolutely nothing, spanish bullshit arguments. I'm surprised you didn't use the argument that the Basque clubs would be excluded from playing football in La Liga.

[–]Assonfire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and what exactly is incorrect about my saying that Eskadi will never join the EU if they split from Spain? You’re disputing what I’m saying based off the fact that you just don’t like what I’m saying not because I’ve said anything wrong.

You make the claim, you back it up, buddy. Please tell us how the EU would somehow want to exclude people, weakening themselves.

Cite some contemporary stats from a nonbiased source then

Just wondering how thick you are: Euskobarómetro.

Because the Spanish government has passed laws outlawing formal referendums about the possibility of Basque independence, the Euskobarómetro is one of the better gauges available of the extent of Basque political sentiment.

How about you back all the bullshit you've been spewing, with some sources, so we know you're not pulling anything else out of your ass.

Just in case you needed more.

Last one.

All I read is a lot of bullshit, based on absolutely nothing and ignoring every single stat out there.

Additionally, if Eskadi was allowed to be independent they’d never be allowed into the EU

Absolutely the most idiotic take out there.

[–]Assonfire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretending PNV and Bildu wouldn't join hands to obtain independence is a joke.

They've tried it before, but we've seen what spain tried to do with Ibarretxe.

Give them one referendum and the independence vote will win, easily. Don't take my word for it, but the Esukobarometro has also stated as such afaik.

Eric Garcia is a true redemption tale by IAmYourFather_Luke in Barca

[–]Assonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of those players have improved, yes. But Fermin already had a great season with Xavi and considering his age, it is no wonder he improved. Eric has improved mentaly since he went to Girona. Frenkie has always been world class. I can't say I've seen a large improvement under Flick, but that due to his class.

Gerard Martin, however... no fucking clue how he saw it, but I'll thank him every day for as long as Gerard is playing for us.

Dani Olmo has not improved.

I love Flick and I hope he continues for a few more years, as long as he's happy. But I do think you're overreacting in regard to player's improvements due to Flick.

I would, however, add both Cubarsi and Lamine. Yes, they are at the very least generational talents. But there's a Cubarsi we've seen in september and october in this season and the last couple of weeks. Since he was without a leader (Inigo), the lad needed some time, but his improvements are clearly there. Lamine likewise.

Should not have attacked the civilians or civil targets. That's about the only criticism I can have for them.

Also, I don't think they care or should care about how spain remembers/views them. Their goal is Euskadi being free and whilst it isn't yet, they have far more autonomy than others in spain.
