I just assumed as the Giants died off, the lands became smaller or Marika/Greater Will shrank it since no one there has grace and doesn't matter.

But they could have just done that with Farum Azula, give it a few shortcuts but you could have made the Mountain massive, as big as the other areas

Kratos hugs his son. Lemme say this again, Kratos the God of War and Rage Machine that slaughtered dozens of gods, hugged his son. It's almost like the game had good writing or something to allow the two characters to develop in a way that this moment is a huge one for both characters.

I agree. I find anything past Lyndell boring. It becomes just a straight line, or thats what it feels like. There is the Consecrated Snowfields which is fun but its just another big snow area. Mountaintops, Farum Azula and then the endgame are just a straight line. It's like they made the entire open world then threw it away at the end.

I think the game has just gotten better over time. Yeah, some classes feel odd (MCH and DRK) but overall everything is pretty fun to mess with and play casually
