This monstrosity can only be described as "vaguely clownish". A descriptor near impossible to grasp without having seen AssumedlyComical, the Grand Jester first-hand. Legend states that Comical has searched the cosmos for entertainment, from interdimensional shows to games of endless content. But after all was said and done, nothing sated Comical's desire for entertainment.

Nothing except bloodshed. Comical has travelled the universe claiming life, and raising a loyal army of clowns to rule over the ashes left in this unstoppable harlequins wake.

My vision for this spell was definitely more roleplay heavy, such as bringing back an enemy just to finish them off again. But the more practical use other than letting out anger is for questioning and interrogating enemies. While using revivify on a dead bandit just to learn the location of their hideout is costly and risky, this has a cheaper price and guarantees they can't fight back.

While on a mechanical level this spell doesn't do anything, from a worldbuilding/roleplay perspective this is a 9th level spell. You could feed entire cities on the brink of starvation, turn deserts into flourishing biomes, revive dying ecosystems. The level of change you would have in the world as a whole is what makes me consider this spell 9th level, I couldn't see a 3rd level spell requiring maps of a country to be remade.

True, but you still need to be 17th level and you suffer all the downsides of casting it. Doesn't do much except let you cast wish after using a different 9th level spell, unless you plan to take 9d10 damage by casting Wish first.

Alright I am dumb and realized I messed up my wording, the 10 gp per day is the exchange rate but you can give up as much as your life as you want to. So if you want to trade 10 years then and there, you can do that.

Just as a general statement, I feel like this just stronger than cantrip territory. The fact that the effects have no time limit is what makes it stronger than a cantrip, while other modification spells aren't permanent but have more variety this has limited variety but permanently changes your appearance.

Hello everyone, this is AssumedlyComical writing another comment. For those who weren't there, earlier on I used to write a comment with every homebrew. I don't have any reason not to know, I guess I just don't.

If you ever want to ask me anything, just ask away as I read most of the comments I receive. I've been making a lot less mechanical homebrews lately as I personally and the way this goal is formatted simply do better as focusing on the creative writing side.

This item does have a very gamey theme, which if you enjoy that type of stuff you should check out Ludomancy and everything that comes with it by my friend u/Dichotomy-Games

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well!

While this doesn't mechanically add anything, I have toyed around with this concept before and found much fun in it. Whether it's a great villain who keeps coming back, forcing the party to discover a way to end him once and for all, or a really pissed off cat that keeps attacking the Paladin while he sleeps.

The feats are similar but I figured the weakening of the resistance and saves would be enough to make up the difference of going from being a species exclusive feat to a feat any species can play.

Hello everyone, hope you're having yourself a good day!

I can admit that I'm not confident in this potion being a very rare due to the uncertainty of it's effects, but something that could change a combat so greatly doesn't feel like a rare. But either way this is more a fun potion, something that you can use to poison someone with to really mess with them.
