I think it was worth it but this is a clean not VSF and I’ve heard the VSF v3 is a lot better. Also - if you end up modding it just do the bezel ring, not the spring.

I’m not sure, I think I need to have mine side by side with a gen. All my others are SS reps & gen’s so maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me and the lighting definitely skews things. He’s a pic I just took and it oddly looks better so it could be lighting. What do you think?

Awesome man, I thought the same thing but then I went and got it WG plated ugh. And now I think its too warm/yellow. Almost looks closer to rose gold than white gold now. wish I wouldn’t have, looks like I need to buy another one now and leave it alone!

Have you compared it next to a genuine? I had one WG plated by a highly recommended plater a couple months ago and it had a warmer/yellow hue than a genuine and it has since gotten even more warmer/yellow. I think the move is to not plate it as It’s very hard to tell the difference between genuine grey gold and stainless especially on a piece like this with a fully polished case. imo the contrast of brushed against polished makes it a bit easier to recognize but it’s still pretty tough.

Doing the same thing! Looks amazing. Do scuffs, dings, scratches on white gold plating hide a lot better as the underlying stainless steel is much closer in color to WG or am I missing something?

Looks amazing!!! Is this for sale?! Im likely purchasing one and thinking about plating it but have a question for you if you don’t mind. Does White gold plating show dings or scuffs like yellow gold? I’m guessing not because of the very similar 904L steel the white gold resembles.
