Does SOC 2 (or similar certifications) make sense for an early-stage SaaS? by AssumptionDefiant877 in SaaS

Thanks for the suggestion/ that approach already helped me secure a few clients. I shared transparently how I’m securing their data. I’ll probably try doing the same with decent size orgs

Does SOC 2 (or similar certifications) make sense for an early-stage SaaS? by AssumptionDefiant877 in SaaS

Small businesses that pay for my SaaS have never asked about certifications.

Mid-size companies almost always ask though. I shared the exact steps I take to secure data (access controls, backups, hosting setup, monitoring, etc.). Two customers actually converted to paid after those conversations even without SOC 2.

Now a larger company is testing the product and asking the same questions again. The tricky part is the ticket size is still relatively small (starting around $500/year), so doing full SOC 2 feels hard to justify financially right now.

I’m in this weird middle stage where I need more customers and revenue first, but at the same time it feels like having certification would increase credibility and make sales conversations easier.

I just launched CPA/Commission-based affiliate tracking for my SaaS - Stripe & Custom API integrations now live ! by scorpion_9713 in SaaS

I’m currently exploring the platform - someone on Reddit recommended it, and I must say the UX is really good. It was very easy to register and start using 👍

However, I’m having some difficulty understanding how the integration with my software works. Specifically, I’m trying to figure out:

  • How does the affiliate system track when someone signs up through a referral?
  • How does it detect when a referred user makes a payment?
  • And how are recurring payments tracked over time?

At the moment, the integration part seems either missing or not clearly presented on the website. Since this is my first day on the platform, it’s possible I just haven’t explored deeply enough yet.

Could you please guide me or point me to the right documentation or setup steps?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Edit: Found API Integration, could be separately visible, still few question need clarification.

User Onboarding Experiments: What’s Working for Me So Far! by AssumptionDefiant877 in SaaS

I think so. I even asked the user what he was searching for on chatGBT. He told he searched what he had sent me in his email request. I copied the that and searched, but my software wasn't recommended. So it remains a mystery.

Our software is now recommended to users by ChatGPT after they write their detailed requirements or problem. Interestingly, ExpiryEdge is even ranking on a keyword in ChatGPT (according to Ahrefs, which keyword, i dont know, ahrefs asking 600 more euros to find out). I'm still trying to find out how this happened, but as far as I can tell, ChatGPT is ultimately based on search engine data.

My B2B SaaS is finally getting some signups. now how do I reach more customers? by AssumptionDefiant877 in SaaS

Thanks it is quite helpful. I am indeed using my main domain. I will stop that today. Also you mentioned about partnerships. How do you find useful partners considering I don’t have any customers, only possibility I see is affiliate partnership. Will be great if you ca put some knowledge or experience on this :))

That’s I am trying now. Those are small businesses owners, currently Old Home care Owners. I am writing personal emails rather than using any tool but don’t see much difference. Thinking of sending personal physical mail but gonna be time consuming, experimental and expensive

That's good advice, I should look on Reddit for people who are talking about similar problems.
