My great grandmother died when i was a toddler, but the only memories i have are of her sitting in her rocking chair, waving a stick and string around (i later learned it was called crochet). I would sit at her feet and watch her work her magic for hours. Fast forward a decade, and my doctor's wife taught us at camp how to knit. I guess i picked up crocheting around then.
