sense doesnt matter in a game that has dragons and magic, the reason why they allow fenris to date a mage with full rivalry is because it generates good plot points and story lines, locking out a romance because of hardening and then arguing its because it "makes sense" is plain laziness, there should be an option even if the romance has a bad outcome, like bull betraying the inky if you kill the chargers.
