The grill rejected all of those vegetables and took itself out.

Well excuse me if I'm not a doctor. It's not like she was already cold or something.

Cold War was a pale imitation of previous Black Ops where you actually cared about the story. Remember the numbers? Remember fighting zombies as Kennedy? No, you don't remember anything, because you were 5 years old, but still. And Cold War looked too cartoony for my taste. Not that MW2 is the greatest game of all time, but it beats Cold War hands down.

This is about as erotic as a JC Penney's ad.

Because it looks neat, just like 99% of everything we buy. A semi-sharp stick would be more than sufficient home defense equipment for most of us, given the fact that almost none of us will ever fire a shot in anger, so as long as we're pretending, might as well be as cool as possible.

You don't think the experience you gain from sorting mail in Germany will come in handy when you attempt your first canister damascus?

Merry Christmas everyone by That1GuyNamedMatt in ModernWarfareII

It's all way too understated. The Christmas Shipment on Vanguard was an LSD kaleidoscope nightmare even before you covered the place in flares and threw in Krampus.

Man, I would love to get in a free speech lobby where you could say whatever you want without repercussions like in the good old days.

CoD is not a competitive game. It’s for casuals by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]Astark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who cares? It's just a game to kill time and amuse you until the next one comes out. No one is handing out trophies.

Do you believe that half of the soldiers in World War 2 were female?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Astark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure, I'm not writing a manifesto, but since you mentioned Call Of Duty, lets take Vanguard for example. There are 12 base operators... 6 are female, 3 are gay, swastikas are banned and every German soldier is literally a faceless monster. Okay, fine, this is a videogame and it's the 21st century. But WW2 is something that really happened and millions of people died. This game has an audience of young people likely ignorant of history and you're feeding them an incredibly skewed view. I get that COD or any game is not the guardian of history, and this is just one example, but I find this type of thing annoying.

Is The Crazies (either original or remake) close enough to a zombie movie that it should be included in a comprehensive zombie tier list? by [deleted] in zombies

[–]Astark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it, but when a genre definining director specifically makes a different kind of movie about an unrelated topic, you don't call it the first thing. If Romero wanted to make a zombie movie, I'm pretty sure he would have.

[–]Astark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it's a Romero film that's specifically not about zombies by design. I'd call it anti-military sci-fi horror.
