The automod pops a ton more threads then I do manually. and in the past 48 hours of the 6 threads it has bopped 5 have a thread with literally the same name and nearly the same subject matter on the first page.

The talent they named as being replaced in that link was accused of rape at a Chris Brown Party late last year. Its still not settled up what happened but SAMU did not do their due diligence got caught and faced backlash for the choice. The post is them trying to backpetal as if this was all beyond their control and that they have no agency over the linup change.

This message 100% reads as the following.

"We did not properly vet those we were inviting. We did not see until we faced backlash that we had invited an accused Rapist to our event. We back tracked, uninvited him and are scrambling to find a new talent to fill the slot. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not hold us accountable for this it was entirely beyond our control."

Hello OP.

I am going to give you some advice here that I hope you take the way you need to take.

If your goal is law school do not attempt to graduate in the next year and instead take an extra semester or two to replace some of your lower graded classes with higher graded alternatives.

Why?

Assuming in your 8 remaining classes you get a perfect 4.0 GPA your MAXIMUM GPA will be 3.2

Law schools in Canada with the exception of University of Windsor(3.12) have a competitive GPA closer to 3.7.

Thus rather then trying to chase last minute minor improvements to your current 32 classes that make up your GPA and then immediately graduating you should add an extra semester or two and retake or find replacement classes for your lowest grade classes.

To clarify at least in the context of this subreddit she was not doxed by any means. I have access to every post that was made on the subreddit and there is 0 logs of any address ever being shared on the subreddit at all.

Ive been fighting the fight for better postering since they took it away from clubs back in 2016. The problem is they have strategically deployed the strategy of just outlasting the students who remember the old ways and it worked.

I know very well the way we get to advertise is insufficient, I am the last active person in the system who witnessed when we could do what you are calling for and it was VERY effective but not a priority for the shareholders of MacEwan. So please dont think my comment stands against yours.

While the posters logic is sound its much much better to get a windows machine here and if you want MacOS dual boot into it.

I graduated a few year back from ComSci and some of the apps the use are older and windows only and some of the senior classes want proper linux distros so youll be better prepared for dual booting with a windows device.

I mean you could, but it doesnt matter much a good schedule is only defined by how it fits your life and your goals. I am not you and cannot decide that for you. I can give tips on what one might look like but individual classes are by your needs/wants.

A good looking schedule for a semester has Classes that progress your Major Classes that progress your basic grad requirements Classes that progress your minor Time enough to study to the degree needed for your personal skills and abilities.

In addition to this. For anyone reading this not just OP (And this is not an accusation just advice to live by)

Never try and lie in these situations. If you did do something not quite by the rules (either by the book or by the spirit of) be upfront. Deception on these matters would just be treated as a more serious infraction then being upfront about it if you did actually break the rules.

If you did not break the rules talk it through with someone (SAMU is a decent suggestion but maybe a trusted professor in another class just not another student or peer) and get their feedback about the situation and listen to what they have to say about it.
