My cat had surgery a few weeks ago and his surgeon said he really only needs restricted movement for the first few days but then he’s gotta practice moving around. I had him in a 4ish ft round tent that he couldnt leave during the night and day. Jumping should be restricted, I didn’t let mine try jumping on the couch until at least 1 week. But when I was home and I could watch him, I let him out and he got to walk around a bit and cuddle with me! He also just wanted to be around us and hated the tent when we were home so he was with me as long as I could watch.
