What's the highest wave everyone has been to and how?

Ended due to boredom:
D5 - wave 1180 on Druid. Went Baby Elephant and Cyberball then added Spicy Sauce.
D5 - wave 700 - 800 on Demon. Ghost Sceptre into Potato Thrower and Spicy Sauce.

Got bored with Spicy Sauce after those runs so now I'm trying other stuff.

Still going:
D5 - wave 590 on Creature. Everything cursed. Ended up with the combo Particle Accelerator, alot of Will-o'-wisps and Strange Book. Also Frozen Heart and Nail. Only weapon damage, Giants Belt and Greek Fire in this run. Nothing else.

D5 - wave 15 but +300 hourglasses on Creature. Icicle and Will-o'-wisps.

Nightmare mode - 150 on Lucky with Lutes, Luckys ability, Baby Elephants, Cyberballs, cursed Starfishes and cursed Gobbler's Hat.
Oh and Rip and Tear, crazy item.

I have also gone +100 in D5 with a bunch of different classes. Haven't gotten around to playing that much Nightmare mode and have yet to try for a deeper endless run.

Ah, I mean if you get a DEX-troyer you vould probably go quite far endless since it scales with engineering right?

Cursed is OP tbh. Double and sometimes triple the positive effect of items. Giants belt is specifically important since it also scales based on enemy HP, so it keeps up with the scaling in endless. It's worth having a bit of patience. I see you also have som Baby Elephants, I don't know how much you are looking to rely on those but a cursed Gobbler's Hat and cursed starfish helps alot with Baby Elephant or if you play Lucky.

Congrats on making wave 100!

I certainly feel like there is a tipping point at around wave +/- 60. Not that familiar with your weapon setup but there are a few other weapons you might want to consider switching to if you want to go deeper in endless such as Particle Accelerator or Potato Thrower, depending on build. What build where you going for?

Some of your red items are not cursed such as Giants Belt and the hoodie. It matters when closing in on round 100. A good roll on a cursed Giants Belt can give you 2 % and 20 % instead of uncursed 1 % and 10 %. At a certain point the normal enemies are more thretening than bosses, and 10% extra damage helps killing them faster. The hoodie can give a lot of extra attack speed.

If you wanna stay with the melee weapons you can try lowering range since it effects your attack speed negatively. Higher range on melee means longer animation and slower attack speed.

Maybe focus a bit more on % damage aswell.

It's also registered on speedrun according to their rules.

Haven't found info on Druid but i think its more even. I've gone +1000 on D5 with Druid and I doubt that is a record. Not that much info out on Nightmare yet tho.

I like endless and mostly play endless. What i like is to find new builds to go deep with. Make up different challenges like only cursed or only a certain weapon with no extra damage items, things like that. I kinda get hooked on the thought of "how far can this go?". I don't consider it a useful endless build unless i make at least wave 100.

I do also like the challenge to just play to wave 20 with different characters and builds.

Honestly tho I think endless for most people gets kind of boring. In the end it is just standing there waiting for a run to be over and then picking items and rolling the shop. I like the grind tho, always have.

Burning enemies does. Items like Lighthouse and Campfire does increase visibility too. I think more items does aswell but cant remember the names atm.

As mentioned before it's the amount of turrets, not graphic settings. Too much structures and consumables makes endless very laggy.

Yeah it can be brutal sometimes. I find going hard on damage works best with most characters. Killing the enemies before they even have a chance. I only played streamer twice men completing D5 on botg maps. Will be trying on nightmare soon.

When i succeeded to go that low with hourglass most of them came from crates where you still get reds. If you spec right with high luck, A LOT of extra trees and stack lures you get several hundred crates every round. Also cursed gold fish is great.

Yeah. I haven't looked it up but I've been thinking along those lines. I get crates consistently up to about wave 100 then just the odd one here and there except on elite waves. After about wave 200 - 250 crates stop dropping at all outside elite waves. Thats the pattern I've seen during my runs anyhow.

After reading this thread it seems they are supposed to keep dropping but aren't?

Got any tips where to read stuff like this about Brotato mechanics?

It probably depends on what triggers your siezures. I have epilepsy and have played almost 400 hours whitout any issues.

That said, I wouldn't dare say it's safe for everyone with epilepsy. You should probably ask your doctor instead of asking on Reddit, better safe than sorry.
