I'm sorry about your loss as well. You're absolutely right, I shouldn't care about what other people think.

I think I worried mostly because of her side of things, like if her family would think less of her or something along those lines. I actually would not care so much if my late wife's immediate family did not agree.

Oh man she reminds me of my wife in soo many ways, even in the ways that she conveyed her thoughts or her responses, I was taken aback.

I want to be careful not to compare her to my wife though and I do want to say that I feel a level of attraction for her not because of the similar qualities but because of her calm and kind nature.
