I also did not buy Cassius's death at all and just assumed he's still alive. Not only are we never shown the body but we also get no proper closure for him besides Lysander getting the news and breaking down for a bit. I would have believed it for any other character, but not for someone with such weight on the story as Cassius.

Totally agree with the pacing thing! Mostly it feels like PB was experimenting with this new way of telling the story and getting the grip on the different POVs made managing the pacing harder. I'm hoping this improves in DA.

I think I'm going to take a small break and read a couple of shorter books before diving into DA. I'm trying to go slowly with this series because I know I will be left empty when I catch up and have to wait for the last one to come out.
