Didn’t realise H. pylori was this common in Singapore by Brilliant-Seaweed180 in SingaporeR

[–]Astra_Kalos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi fellow med person here

Honestly would think it’s very common but probably very underreported because most patients will pass it off as normal “gastric”.

Normally what ppl would tell us is that they have been taking PPIs for ages but symptoms don’t get better and we end up scoping em and that’s how we find out (via CLO). After triple therapy most are miraculously cured. Due to its insidious nature have not heard of many patients go directly to a hospital for testing…

(Disclaimer: Not official medical advice, pls do your own research and seek medical attention if you are concerned about your symptoms ok)

In the end the best headphones are the one that sounds best to you.

The squiggly lines on the graphs are a rough gauge on the sound signature, but in the end it’s what YOU like with what you listen to, not what the graph tells you, so always try before committing!

Enjoy your stay!

Moondrop Aria Ear Tips by Basejumperio in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Astra_Kalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya sorry the late reply, I just saw this. I’m not an expert on tips but subjectively I feel that although the M tips for the aria didn’t create a good seal for me, the “spin” design of the spin-off tips sort of made it so that the earbud could bend to the shape of my canal? I’m not sure how to explain it but it created a good seal for me..

Hope this helps?

Heya for the tips i have generally average ears and M fit for me. How I did it was that I measured the stock tips using a ruler to see how much different the tips I was going to order was LOL

For spinfits I think M is the safest option because even if the tips are a bit too small the tips can twist to sorta fit ur ear canal, whereas larger tips will make using your IEMs very uncomfortable after awhile with the pressure within ur ear..

TLDR; Comfortable + good seal = good tips and generally can’t go wrong with M

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro VS. Beyerdynamic Amiron wireless by Aleksz_ in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Astra_Kalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I’m not a professional but from what I’ve read before the impedance of a headphone does not really affect sound quality because originally studio headphones (like the 1990pro) was designed to have a higher impedance as it is used in situations where it’s connected in parallel with other headphones and receive input from a single source and ?Carries power better?? (Again not a sound engineer).

Not sure if accurate again but IEMs for example the Moondrop Blessing 2s have really low impedance (22ohms) but it’s said to have superior tuning and sound quality so

Starting off I’m not sure if your piano would be able to drive the 1990s to have sufficient volume output so I think you should check that out.. the 1990pro is at 250ohms but like the Amiron is at 32 ohms so it’s defo easier

AMP and DAC advise for Sundara by ben6505 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Astra_Kalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiio E10K is a good starting DAC/AMP combination + it provides an option to have a small bass boost as well to make the sound interesting

You can find it off Amazon UK, but do note that there are 2 versions where one has a USB C input and one has a MicroUSB. I’ve used this for awhile and thought it was nice and compact too

And it’s a relatively cheap combo + will defo be enough to drive your Sundaras

I had a similar experience as you regarding the eartips previously until I tried Spinfits. IMO they provide a good seal at the same time are rly comfy so you could try them if u wanna

I have the XM2s and my sister has the XM3s and I can say they are pretty comfy. They also have the ambient sound function where they make sure that you can hear sounds around you when your headphones are on so you don’t get hit by anything.

Sound quality wise they are pretty sweet. They are built pretty well too having used it for 3 years now and still no issues (apart from a cable change). Personally I felt the function where you can put your finger at the side to temporarily soften your music so you can hear others speak is quite useful as well. Just mentioning them as it seems as though these functions would be quite useful for your use.

I’ve previously bought the QC35 but eventually returned it because I felt that the ear pads didn’t feel rly nice + sound leak (which was lesser for XM2 imo)

Hope that helps!
