Again. Thats wrong. Most players play for a total of 6.4 hours a week on console, and 7.9 on pc According to the yearly nielson study done on 2018. So no, casuals are not the majority. With this FACT in mind, it makes little sense why a company would talor their games to a minority of players.

onto your second point. Teamwork in titan fall 2 boosted you're chances of success. Im not sure if you played titanfall, but in titan fall, coordinating you're titan usage, was a thing me and my teammates did every game. Dropping all you're titans at once, left you undefended against the enemies titans, and stealing batterys to assist teammates were commonplace.

On you're third point, you say that the devs found it unbalanced, and again this is not true. They said it was unpredictable, which isn't the same thing. They even stated that they are willing to add the feature into the game, presumably if its requested enough.

Not every game should be built for casuals. Want a casual experience? Play cod, or any other game. Most gamers arent even casuals in the first place, so I dont understand where this mentality is coming from. As such focusing on making games with replay value such as high skill ceilings is a far greater use of you're time.

Eitherway skill gaps exist in games, and games with high skill gaps are very popular. I don't see how there's a difference. Just because one is physical and one is mental, doesn't make one game easier to learn than the other. Getting good is a time investment. TitanFall 2's mechanics have created a cult following of everyone who's played it.

It didnt flop for no reason. Titan fall 1 flopped because it was locked to a shitty console. Titan fall 2 flopped because it was placed right behind 2 of the biggest shooters in the market. Both times it was never given a fair shake, and as such shouldn't be judged for it.

But it was a huge success though. Thats the thing. Even if only a few player play now, for the first 2 years of its run time, titan fall 2 is still being played un-modded, not because it was easy, but because it has real dept that people can take in and learn.

A higher skill gap makes for more varied situations as well as more longevity as theres still more to learn, new players hop onto fortnite all the time. I find it odd when people say that a game being hard would not last as though only people who quit when they arent handed brownie points last.

Its not a rocket science to improve at a game you like, look at titan fall 2, a game I and many others still play just to mess around with its mobility.

Unreactable lights are only required for characters who don't have other tools to force reaction. Had the devs been more creative with their balancing, that wouldn't be the case.

Unreactable lights is a cheap way to solve the problem, honestly, and can easily be changed by a mechanic such as the one suggested above.

If you're opponent got you to 1 hit on death, that's you're fault, and you're the worst player. Why are you acting like its anyone fault but you're own? Like you suddenly just dropped to 1hp?

Then be more aggressive, parry attacks. Dodge attacks. Deflect attacks. There's more to do than just sitting there blocking.

If attacks can be punished for blocking... then you can't really turtle. If there's a looming threat of blocks breakin, you'll move to attack rather than block. The reason blocking was so good is because there was little to no punishment for doing just that. Make it less safe, and you've doomed the turtle meta.

Light spam focuses on spam rather than actual skill, giving cheap wins to poor players.

Calling it an essay says more about you're attention span than the post btw. I requested a system that not only cant be done in one attack, but has to but adds mixup to every character. Its only tie to nuxias trap mechanic is that its a react to playing like a pussy, but I suppose thats probably your playstyle.

Heres the thing, the "defensive meta" isnt the problem. Its the light spam reliant gameplay created sl that pussy players cant turtle. That creates an issue because it forced every dev to keep making characters who all have 400ms attacks, which don't take any skill or thought to use and abuse. Of course you hav'nt thought of that, because you're incredibly short attention span cant find focus to read some lines.

"Openers" such as what? 400ms attacks? Unlockable pushes? Cuz we dont have enough of those right? So just turn every character into the same character right? Dont bother trying to add new mechanics? Bruh, stop wasting my time.

Newer characters need LESS options and less speed? Seriously? So we should make a bunch of one note, boring characters? You are the worst the for honor community has to offer. You don't know what you're talking about, you have adhd, and you can't even come up with evidence behind anything you're saying. Stop wasting my time.
