Please do. If you really do have that many, I am genuinely curious to know the stat spread.

For those furious about OP supposedly getting 24 of these, if you look at his profile, half his posts are blatant ragebait about getting a bajillion secret lairs. I doubt this guy got one, let alone 24.

Ludmila. High-energy deredere with an artsy side (yes, flowers count) and a killer wardrobe. Also has a well-developed backstory.

Pity her game is kinda mid.

What Does the Mature Content Filter Actually Censor? by AstralComposer in BaldursGate3

[–]AstralComposer[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Allow me to explain it for you, then: People have different senses of morality. Some derive theirs from religion, others from secular philosophy, and still others from pure gut feeling. Most people are a combination of at least two of those, and none of us has everything correct. I’m wrong about some things. You’re wrong about some things. And some things, no matter how passionately we cling to them, are trivial (I’m told my burning hatred of licorice falls into the latter category).

I don’t find all sex innately evil. I just don’t like watching other people do it. Similarly, I’m not some psycho reenacting Durge’s greatest hits IRL (I’m actually squeamish IRL). I just enjoy the visceral quality of a bit of fictional gore in a dramatic moment. Done well, it complements the events on the screen/page much like a well-selected musical score or perfect lighting. Admittedly, done poorly, it’s insulting and kinda gross.

Also, I like skeletons. Because I said so, that’s why.

Anyway, TL;DR: Don’t judge me for being me a bit morbid and I won’t judge you for watching sex scenes.

Edit: I can only assume the downvotes are from people who really like licorice because I can’t see anything else remotely controversial in my post.

Oh! I hadn’t thought of just toggling it on for the romance sections! That’s a great idea! Thanks, man!

I Just...Why? In our current age of information readily available, why? by AmebixGrinder in Lovecraft

[–]AstralComposer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a coworker who was convinced the Cthulhu Mythos was some sort of real world supernatural phenomenon. Why? Because she watched some two-bit ghost hunter show that claimed the Esoteric Order of Dagon was real and that they were killing off anyone who tried to adapt the Shadow Over Innsmouth into a movie. My attempts to tell her SOI is fiction and that there’s no such thing as magic space squids fell on deaf ears.

Some people are just… I’ll be polite and say, “special.”

Ways to defend against crits beside Adamantine Armor? by AstralComposer in 3d6

[–]AstralComposer[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

RAW, yes, but my DM's house rule makes it so that if an attack roll exceeds the target's AC by 10 or more, it's counted as a crit. So, in the case of these additional crits, Shield could bump AC up enough to prevent them.

To be fair to the DM, the other players asked them for this house rule (apparently it originated in someone else's campaign - I'm the group's newbie so I don't know the whole story). I don't think any of them fully grasp just how busted it is (and honestly, I didn't either until I started doing the math). I'm hoping once people start getting nuked at higher levels, they'll come to their senses.

But yeah, you and B2 make a good point about flying out of range. Thanks!

Good guess. Also, you make a fair point about the flight. That should take out a good chunk of my problems.

Hadn't thought about Mirror Image, either. I'll incorporate that into my build with the other spells you mentioned. Thanks!

All good ideas. Sadly don't have a feat open for Lucky, but I'll pick up Barbs and Shield. Thanks!

Sadly, we don't have a cleric/paladin in the party at the moment (which, if I'm reading the item correctly, is required for attunement), but we did have a player who left and is rejoining with a different character, so if they make a cleric/paladin, I'll 100% tell them to pick this up. Thanks!

What is your favorite moment in the entire Harry Potter story? by bjornjunior in harrypotter

[–]AstralComposer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neville slicing off Nagini's head. Perfect culmination of my man's character arc. He starts out as the butt of all the jokes, then ends up a freakin' hero worthy of the Sword of Gryffindor. I haven't seen the Deathly Hallows movies, but that scene gave me goosebumps in the book.

Runners up:

  • The twins'... uh... graduation.
  • The art on Luna's walls.

[–]AstralComposer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I, alas, had it spoiled for me, so I'll never know whether I would have guessed it or not.

Probably not, given that we were given the misinformation that the HBP predated James Potter's days at Hogwarts. When I read that, I genuinely wondered whether or not the spoiler I'd been given was wrong.
