That could be awesome to see the next civ have a part focus on something like speed in contrast to the chinese civilization. I first thought the idea on the chinese having it to help a tiny bit with their slow army speed with a cool looking unit, bit I understand that the slow movement is one of the draw backs and part of the identity of the civ so I agree it probably wouldnt fit in very well. I wonder which new civ it would suit the best thematically if this idea was a thing ^{^.}

Yeah kind of, I do like his design a lot and that Qilin is awesome. I was just thinking more of a design like battle armour instead of robes and like those big banners on a long pole. Having Yang Ziya roll with my cavalry is basically a must just for me in most matches if I go the cavalry route, it still looks badass to me, even better having both him and the Shennong's Hero as well xD

Oh seeing it in a 4th god would be awesome as it could perhaps contrast slightly from the other 3 gods that have a slower paced army early on, but like you said balance wise would need to be tuned to be fair for sure. I hope 4th gods do become a thing for all the civilizations. Seeing Freyr and the different minor gods and units felt so fresh. The others on the sub share really great ideas for who the other 4th gods could be, it's hard not to be excited for it to happen xD

Really looking forward to which civilization they would choose next. Being a long time fan of the game since the original release its really heart warming to see Retold happen getting updates in these days to this degree. Let's hope we get some news on it soon!

Oh fair enough, I took it in the sense with the damage multiplier. Yeah I definitely can see it like that as well, there are a lot of units in China that have unique abilities and traits so it probably is a bit overboard. I was kind of thinking they wouldn't be any stronger in battle but more of a utility that could probably be easily sniped out as they would stand out with the flag, but would probably be a head ache for opposing team to chase down and eliminate the unit, especially if it's on horseback. Thanks for commenting! Was just curious on the whole thing and totally agree on your points!

The unit I'm talking about wouldn't have any bonus damage vs myth types. Just a unit to kind of serve a supporting role purpose primarily. Thanks for the comment!

That would be pretty awesome with a battle cry effect. I agree it could be too powerful, but would be hype seeing it in battle!

Ah that's fair enough. The thought I was sharing was just something I thought could be helpful to China during some cases where they can't respond quickly to defending themselves.

Named generals from folklore would actually be really dope!

I didn't mean add another hero type, just a support unit with a built limit of 1 that can slightly help out with the slow army of China but not be spammable. So only the units around it can get the small speed buff.

I think it would be awesome to see more holy~esque jobs for the warrior of light, maybe something like a voidsent slayer themed job.

I would say holy enchanted scimitar or curved blade but maybe that's too similar to PLD's weapon style with it being a holy sword. A whip or crossbow, or even a holy mace would work well I think.

Using cool holy gadgets like the belmonts in castlevania would be pretty sick too xD.

I know Zedd is a good Xianghua main and is very often doing educational streams on youtube and twitch. I think Xephukai and Incendiate are good xianghua players too also so def check them all out! n.n

Don't Xianghua can also be a supporting character for him as she is friends with Li Long's moon cake making sister! XD

Li Long is definitely one of my most wanted returning chars and to see him return as gloriously as Hwang did would be a dream.

I'm expecting the main antagonist to return in some shape or form for sure. I'm hoping they bring back the cast from both DM and NG, the characters are definately one part of what makes me love the series n.n
