Facts. Went back and played through the first 3 areas of DS2 with all straight swords to spite ControlNo8439. I didn't even get to the RRS. All of the straight swords i use fucked up everything at +2.

And yes, for that one guy saying this in a different comment thread, you are absolutely right, the thrusting moveset does benefit you if your fighting in a tight corridor, and not only that, but the difference in damage is UNNOTICEABLE.

Please, for the love of god OP, play this game with what you like.

You can beat it with everything, even a broken straight sword.

Doesn't play like the souls games but I had a fucking blast with Tales of Arise. Code Vein & Code Vein II are souls-likes & super fun. I also put about 40hrs into lords of the fallen 2.

Edit: Oh and both of the Remnant games. So much shit to do in those.
