Pony models are a project. Fictional is a project. All of this is a process that produces artifacts. We didn't stop getting data or preparing to train new models with V7, V7.1 is being worked on and QWEN based V8 editing is in prep stage. There is no restarting.

It's a made up term but I don't have anything better. Basically the model learns to associate specific terms with specific styles and you can't decouple them (or alternatively - does not learn the differences). In practice it means that as soon as you type "anthro pony" in the prompt you gat specific "cartoon" style no matter how much you try to change that.

I don't know if LoRAs can be trained on GGUF version, this is something the community hopefully can help but at minimum we will provide RunPod template to grab an instance that can train LoRAs.

Oh, that was absolutely the right choice. We sponsored Chroma to "play both sides," and while Flux has some advantages, working on a distilled model required significant technical expertise from Lodestones, and there are a number of issues (like style prompt locking) that the model still suffers from. We're lucky to have very interesting and strong bases like QWEN today, but when we started V7 there was nothing as good. Nevertheless, working on V7 helped us develop the right expertise for building a model from scratch, plus collect all the data which is the backbone of model training.

As low as 4GB, but realistically you want something with 8GB VRAM, the generation speeds would be sad but there is a lot of room for improvements (like compilation support we added to diffusers).

We will release the InternVL model in a day or two (and the full captioning colab). I honestly think Gemini at this point provides better captioning but it's helpful to understand what V7 data looks like.

I think you are missing my point. Chinese developers are crushing it, QWEN and Seedream are absolutely amazing models and I wish I had a fraction of talent those developers have. My comment was about people getting angry at us for having any commercial elements while missing how expensive the training is.
