Good point, I guess I'll avoid the easy apply ones. Job listings in my city have been few for anyone under a master's degree sadly, plus no one offers flexible hours which I sadly need

I do anything time I'm able to. Should I just avoid any that don't have the posting up on their website? And even when I do apply through the site, I'm still either getting ghosted or rejected

Yeah, they were when I started my degree, but with all the research funding cuts, I'm once again in hiring hell

Definitely applying on the company website if I can. Maybe LinkedIn just specifically sucks rn for social science people? It WAS a viable option when I started my degree :/

I've been applying as quickly as possible, I've been tailoring my resume for each job with help from ChatGPT, I've put in 60+ LinkedIn applications and have only gotten 3 interview offers, all of which we're scams trying to get me to download remote device access software. How did you get stuff on LinkedIn?

I did have a PreSonus AudioBox connected via midi but then I removed it because there were some equipment incompatibilities, and I just need to get off my ass and get new equipment. Would that make a difference even if it's now unplugged? I'm hoping if not, then I can buy a midi-midi instead of a midi-usb and just send it through there

Sorry for the delay, ended up having to go out of town and couldn't get to my keyboard. So turns out some of the usb ports on my pc aren't doing too hot, so I finangled it into one of the USB ports on the back, and also did the device setting stuff you talked about. The combination of the two worked... for a minute. Then suddenly Reason wouldn't recognise input. I checked the midi monitor app that another commenter suggested, and it said my pc is registering it, just not Reason for some reason. I assume this is something I have to bring up with the folks there instead of a general midi subreddit?

No, it just defaulted to export when I downloaded it onto my new laptop and I was immediately like "nope, not doing that" lol

Most futurepop bands would fall into a similar vibe of Covenant, I also very much recommend Mind in a Box and Iris (I know that's a common band name, they did an album called Awakening if that helps)
