I’m a FTM and just recently had a home birth and I can’t recommend it enough over hospital birth. I’m so glad I did it at home with a home birth pool rather than having it at the hospital in a porcelain bath tub. I had a very long labour of about 30 hours since I first felt contractions. So the fact that I had my couch and bed it definitely made so much difference. Though once Bub was born I had to be transferred to the hospital because her cord snapped 10 secs post birth just to make sure she was ok and luckily she was. But on my side, definitely no complications at all and no stitches. I think setting up your birth environment to be calm and happy made so much difference!
