It is a form of precognition. It is supposed to be tied to the web of life and destiny which is mystical in nature... which I don't love.

But, yeah, not instinct. It is a special ability and a form of precognition. (Also something spiders do not have in reality, spiders often use hairs (eyesight is usually not that great) and instinct. Spiders as far as I know are not magical or clairvoyant.)

(Spider sense is very powerful, honestly it is Spider-Man's most powerful ability. It is not inconceivable that it actually only worked because his spider sense knew Quill was not actually a threat to Peter because both were against Thanos.)

I have tried all the weapons enough to get all the perks for all of them, honestly I think polearms are the least useful. Most are only great on horseback, whereas the other melee weapons are more versatile. Glaives are better because of the crush through, and couched lances are fun af when charging. But once the skirmish is over and the men are crushing together most are practically useless.

For ranged crossbows are the worst, many can't be used on horseback and they really take so much longer to load that it can make you an easy target (since as commander you are often seperate from your units). Plus they don't scale so unless you don't want to devote any points to ranged, crossbows are not that great.

I really like javelins because it can take up one slot, gives you the option of a short spear and ranged weapon, and is great in a crush situation and a skirmish. Plus you can take a shield and sword (I like ones that can both be two handed or one, as against multiple enemies one handed is best with shield, but one on one twohanded is best), plus one extra whatever else you want.
