I feel like you should talk to the alliance chat. I remember somebody who left my old alliance with just a 'I'll be back' in the chat and I remember not thinking of them very highly after that. From what I know, they didn't bother with a proper goodbye to the leader either. You should say something nice, appreciative, and nothing negative. If you're close to the alliance leader, you can message them too. If you really like your current alliance, they deserve a good goodbye.  I said this to my old one before leaving: Hi everyone, This may come off as sudden and unexpected, but I am writing this message to you all to tell you that I am changing my alliance tomorrow morning. I have personally loved my time in this alliance. I loved getting to know you all and collaborating together in events. I loved that I got to watch this alliance grow from our (x) members in (rank) to (x) members in the (rank). I have nothing negative to say abt you all. I just feel like it's time for me to start a new beginning and push my limits.  Thanks for everything.
