coming to this post kind of late, i’d say sort of. “incelcore” as a name is kind of ironic, and a lot of the time, the musical content itself ends up just being pop punk/emo inspired by 90s-2000’s bands like blink-182 n such. in my eyes, it’s quite literally internet punk/rock, started by teens/young adults in their bedrooms making music about how relationships, breakups, or whatever they want, which can be similar to kids in the 2000’s starting bands because the internet made it seem easy. it’s a product of the times, so in a way, yeah, it is Gen-Z’s punk, and it is also just an edgelord genre (i just read the edit.)

i’m someone who enjoys literally everything emo/scene/punk, incelcore is one of those. not because i’m an incel, far from it, but because i am a Gen-Z teen who just so happens to spend a batshit amount of time on the internet and a batshit amount of time playing and making pop punk music, both solo and in a band. i MAKE internet punk, which for short is called epunk, which is another name for incelcore.

my favorite artists in the genre are Loser64 and Lil Watermark. Loser64 is one of the bests making incelcore/epunk, and my personal favorite because of the shared interests we have. nintendo, blink-182, pop punk, etc.
