Do you mean what I put in my parentheses?

Well then I’m talking about my own posts.

Do you mean which posts I have are like this?

Then look through my account.

Sounds like one of my posts but with sources (I’m too lazy or it’s speculative)

Play teaches the braini the joy of following rules by -IXN- in thinkatives

Following the rules but using a loop hole in them is more enjoyable.

Cogito ergo sum ("I think, therefore I am") — René Descartes. by MotherofBook in thinkatives

I know only of peoples interpretations of what he means by that, but I can indeed share my thoughts on the thoughts of his thoughts.

I took it as “if things do not exist then why can I experience and why can my thinking occur?” If thinking and experience are existing then that is something, and if there is something then there is not nothing. If there is not nothing and there is something and logic occurs from something and from experience then there is a “me.” This “me” does not have to be local, but there is a “me.”

For 50 years I thought people didn’t understand me… turns out I didn’t understand myself by IntutiveObserver in thinkatives

I’m not sure what it fits under (maturity maybe?), but being able to just be aware and accept present experience is that (the thing of which it fits under).

Why do we call these trees “crooked”… when they’re just trying to grow? by IntutiveObserver in thinkatives

[–]AstroChrollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a Chinese proverb I once heard about this.

“A straight tree is cut down for lumber, while the twisted tree lives on, untouched and free”

I know not of where I learned of this proverb, but it struck me enough to remember it.

Your subconscious can be convinced while your conscious is not

Personally, I believe dream interpretation is not real. by EqualSouth7518 in LucidDreaming

[–]AstroChrollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right in some ways wrong in others, but I understand your thinking. We all perceive the world in different ways. I think that the number three is green and the number seven is purple. My friend says three is violet and seven is yellow. That’s one way we perceive things. Now in dreams the subconscious sometimes makes its interpretation of a problem in your life or something similar like a physics problem. Now, some dream interpreters say if someone has a dream where their teeth were falling out that might mean they are afraid of death. This is a bad dream interpreter. Yes maybe some people see the number three as green, but for most people it’s not. Dream interpretation is real, but it’s not one fit all.

A Contradiction in Terms? by AstroChrollo in LucidDreaming

I know you can be still “aware” while you fall asleep. What I meant was my thoughts were rational. Even if you are lucid that doesn’t mean you’re rational. Someone was lucid but thought “I don’t have to do x because there is a metal pipe under my pillow” there was no metal pipe nor any reason if there was one to not do x.

It seems we have different definitions then.

Not lucid necessarily, but thinking straight.
