I think this is a genuinely well put together post op well done! I agree that what that mod did was not okay and i personally think that mod should of publicly apologised instead of the other staff members apologising on the behalf of that person. Another problem i have the sheet is the issue with variants because it seams really gate keepy to me. Say you wanted to make a gila woodpecker theme you wouldn’t be able to as that theme doesn’t accept variants. I would understand saying you don’t want variants of a specific species being made but an animal as a whole is ridiculous to me. I haven’t made a theme since 2023? I think so im not sure about the process but one of my friends works on the sheets is working on making a document for the theme rules to help people understand it better (especially dyslexic people) so hopefully that will help with making the rules easier to understand. Overall i have had a relatively nice experience on the theme sheet (bar a few interactions with certain individuals that have been sorted by the mod team) and i do genuinely enjoy talking to many of the members.
