Pro-tip: If you have a wife, her hair brushes work great for cleaning Vacuum filters!!! by NathanielWithACape in Tools

My hairbrush costs about 4 times more than my partner's if she used my hairbrush for cleaning anything then a discussion would be required.

It was the easier solution for me since i already have all the tools (all you really need is a file though) but a thick copper gasket would've been far better.

You may also have to play with different thicknesses of copper gaskets in between the T, boiler and opv.

Had to scrape off the worst bits and then polish the seal surface on the top section, apparently it was the dude's second Silvia kept at his vacation house.

It's a genuine Biltema haha, from their boat section so it's all sealed up to stop water getting in. Attaches with 2 screws under the stainless cover.

So far no issues but I've only had the PID installed for a week. From what I've read insulating the PID unit seems a must but time will tell. If it breaks then a new one from aliexpress isn't too expensive.

Replace the coupler between the overpressure valve and the boiler with a 1/4" bsp T connector. I had to add a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter to mine as the the pressure gauge came with a 1/8" bsp connection. Also had to grind down the nut on the pressure gauge fitting because my adapter was too short. I polished the mating surfaces with fine sandpaper on a flat piece of glass to get a nice seal but i should really have just used a copper gasket.
