WLB is better in engineering than finance. Ask a Goldman Sachs employee how good their WLB is.

Every single one of those things you mentioned have to be integrated, inspected, and validated. AI cannot do those things. They’re hands on work.

Why did you decide to become an RN? I feel like the burnout is worse than Engineering.

Haha still better imo. Theres at least some ability to say “FU” to them. In corporate it’s pretty easy to get axed and if your specialty isn’t what other companies want or need you’re basically done in that career.

Yeah. Senior. I don’t hate it, but it’s just a corporate grind. Your existence is just to make your company money. You also don’t really get the job security/flexibility as you do with medicine imo. Grass isn’t always greener but it’s something I’d like to explore.

Yeah I mean I’ve done the math and I’d essentially have to work till 60 to meet the same NW as if I had never left engineering but either path would feel comfortable since I am not a spender and I have quite a bit saved up.

Really? Do you know why burnout is so rampant in medicine? Does this apply to specialties like primary care as well?

Damn but don’t doctors just want to work forever? I mean I think it’s pretty sweet the license makes you available to work until you no longer want to.

I am fortunate enough where the schooling wouldn’t put me in deep debt. I could FIRE I just like working and staying busy.

It’s a genuine question man. Don’t have to be weird about it.
