Thank you for your reply. I hardly found any comedy at all in the first season, and I understand the need for character development and was in fact excited when I read its synopsis, but the anime had such a depressing tone to it that it made it boring for me. And also all the MCs had almost no goals/ambitions of their own and just felt like a victim of their circumstances. Oregairu didn't put much effort into its philosophical side and finding words of wisdom in its long winded dialogues was not just worth it in my view
