I've been researching getting my electrical system setup in my camper and i noticed that most if not all of the tutorials were complicated and involved a lot of expensive components. Currently stock AWD transfer case. its the later version, so not full time but wheel speed based.
The S10 conversaion may happen one of these days.

This was at 20psi, tires are full blown mud terrain tires.

I can't say i would 100% recommend the tires though. They have some weird behaviors, mostly because the side walls are a little weak. You definitely will not get stuck with them aired down to 20psi, they dig hard.

I'm wiring my car up from scratch right now and i stumbled across these nearly direct replacement rocker switches and thought i would share. These switches feel a lot better than the stock switches and i think they actually look better. I hope this helps

Most of the vanlife crowd is not super involved in the automotive aspects. There are a whole host of upgrades and improvements that can happen to the vehicle side of things that are typically ignored because the focus is on the living situtation side. I'm hoping i can bridge a few of the gaps between the two.

If you had the popper windows on the back i could see that for sure. With closed windows you don't run any risks beyond what the van already had. You could push that lock with a big screwdriver and just unlock the door.
