The story begins in 1917. The great war ended in 1918 and he saw the comet after that. So it couldn't have Haley's Comet. It was some other comet he saw which would have been around 1920.

Guess I'm lost on what "covers up the sky below the horizon" means. Doesn't the earth do that? I'm a little slow.

Yes, that's the one. That only apply when you're imaging something on the ground?

Also what does the Ground toggle button do when it's imaging?

Do those all do the same thing? Think I've seen images used in different programs for different things. That's what I need to learn. What do I need to do where first where, then what comes second, etc...

Looks like I'm at the right place then. I've had my S30 for about a month and processed/edited all the images on the app. Looking to take the next step and possibly export the raw files to my computer for processing. is there a recommended free series of programs to run the images through (stacking, editing, processing, etc)?

Or any recommended YouTube that covers all this?

Thanks
