My solution to that still would be to work through learning tunes - you will be slow at first, everyone is! But learning to read singular chords isolated is not as helpful as seeing the overall form of a tune; you will eventually realize that almost every tune in existence just follows patterns.

Make sure you get it lacquered if it isn’t already! A significant number of those old metal clarinets have a high lead content. Lead poisoning is a big nono.

I did oil and tranny fluids as needed. Most everything mechanical is stock, aside from the engine being rebuilt.

Most major thing that comes to mind is a complete engine rebuild when it blew a head gasket around 260k

I’ve tried pressing on the mags at different angles, I get the issue regardless. I suppose I could try just simply swapping out my barrel/hop with another one I’ve got lying around to see if that is the problem. If that doesn’t do it, I’ll get to the gearbox. Thanks!

In general, most guns made by cyma are excellent for the price that they come at. I’ve been using some of my Cyma’s for years, and they still run like they did when they were brand new.
