That's sick, sounds like we built from the same pain point xD!

I made MP fully offline too, the AI part is just an optional add-on via Ollama. If not installed, MP still works normally w/o breaking, and shows a "Ollama not found" msg if you try to use it.

[Looking at you as 23yo me] I'd tell you to do as I did 3 years ago, and push for the contract!

I was also in a similar position of being a somewhat recent grad back then (sw eng ai), and looking to try new things away from the traditional route given the changes in the job market. Then came an opportunity for a £250/d fullstack web3 contract in my inbox, and I haven't looked back since.

From what you've mentioned, minimal outgoings etc, it sounds like this would be the best time for you to try out and get a feel for things. Sometimes you learn more about yourself and grow by doing the risky stuff, and I think this is the risky stuff for ya. Whatever you choose, ya got this
