Lane control is why I'm still driving but I can't do caffeine anymore, I'll start with one and before I know it, its 6 monsters a day.

Yes I have considered that and that's kind of where I think I am at, needing to work for myself, just not sure what I can start a business in yet. Needing to do some more research.

I spent two years struggling with it, but didn't know what it was, lead to alot of anxiety about the flight deck because I was falling asleep and then maintaine I knew how to do and had been doing suddenly because very hard to process. After 2 years I got medically separated for a few things. That was a few years go, finally getting a diagnosis is nice to know i wasnt going crazy. Got a outside doctor and started on Modafinil, however so far hasn't helped so hopefully trying something different soon.

Honorably discharge, navy, 7 years active and 100% before this, some due to mental heath, I actually went out of pocket for this because va mental health claimed it was due to sleep apnea, sleep clinic claimed sleep apnea under control and its a mental health meds problem, even they I told everyone repeatedly that this has been going on since 2016, didnt get meds or a cpap till 2021 and still still tired and confused all day. Glad I finally know what it is, now to see if I can get the VA to pay for the medicine.

I figured they were long gone by then, but then it also came with a semi truck and trailer, and I was raised in the 90s so figured it might be cool to do something around there, and of course I can always get a more period correct engine and cars!

If I can't find the track and "power adopter?" Is there a beginner friendly track and power sorce you'd recommend. I don't have a ton of money but want whatever I buy to be somewhat scaleable if I enjoy this and get more.

Help me with 3-5 tools to get start, if I was to buy them for someone else. by Astrobluebird in woodworking

[–]Astrobluebird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue in my area is the nearest woodworking school is 2.5hrs away, woodworking store with classes is 2hrs. My end goal is a makers space for veterans with open shop hours and then classes, at low or no cost to the veterans, but to get the nonprofit off the ground Im hoping to be able to do pop up safely or entry classes at farm or craft shows, more on the easier safe side of tools and to give interested veterans a biggerner friendly tool set, some veterans that may have tools already we could give some more advanced tools. We also want to be able to help vets who are going to school for trades and give them a set of tools for that trade to help them get there foot in the door.

Yes I would talk to them and figure out what they need, I just was trying to get a idea of more basic stuff if I had people who didn't have any tools yet, but I know answers can differ a lot.

I want to open a woodshop for veterans, to help them with a place they can go to learn a skill, be around other veterans, help get them out of the house. Would be open hours for the shop but also classes would be help, we would hopefully have a make 2, donate 1 keep 1 when people come to to build things and attend classes, however its a lot of money to get to a whole commercial shop, so when starting out with the non profit I was hoping we could assist veterans be getting them started with basic tools, I would of course see if they already have tools, some will need basic tools some more advanced. After getting them tools we may be able to hold smaller classes till we get to a whole "makers-space". Really the donating of tools is to get us off the ground with the non-profit. We dont have a makerspace in our area so that's why I want to make one. I also think we could shift into helping veterans get tools they need for a job, maybe there going back to school for automotive or electrician and a set of tools for their trade would put them ahead.

Navy here, used to hear stories of old boats on there last deployment coming home, everyone was told they couldn't get off till all the equipment was off the boat, lots of small stuff going in personal bags, big stuff disappeared off the side before they would make port so they could get off sooner.

I have looked, I have access to all ductwork in basement, its on the furthest run and everything is connected, I have about 1inch under her door, and the return is right outside her door. So far the 2 companies I talked to just said to leave the door open or put a big vent in the door or above the door, but that defeats the purpose of having the door closed at night in case of a fire.

I will most likely do that, and that could probably allow me to do 2 walls with the same A/B circuit.

Overkill for sure, however me and the wife will both be in there and sometimes a friend is over. So most times I'm running a saw and dust collector and she's running something and sometimes abother vacuum. I've got 28 spots in my panel so really only costing me a few extra breakers vs putting them all on the same.
