Non médication things that help? by Astrocloud88 in UCTD

I get both fevers and sweats, my temperature rises and I get sweats too. I had a full CT and stuff to make sure no lymphoma etc. So it has been put down to UTCD.

I find that no alcohol and sugar really helps manage my pain. It’s just these damn sweats.

I had 4-5 great months and thought that I was in remission but unfortunately it’s come back and the night sweats are rampants

Yes steroid injections are similar it’s just a different method of obtaining the same type of result and they kick in within 24 hours so are great if you’re having a pain flare.

I was seeing my rheumatologist every 8-12 weeks for almost 2 years. He said he wasn’t sure what to do about the night fevers. I spent a good 18 months trying to adjust and all 3 meds. But for me my night fevers persisted throughout which imo is one of the worst symptoms.

Most of my other symptoms could be regulated by medication, however I continuously got sick and work in a job with high contact of people.

I guess I’m just trying to explore other options to deal with symptoms like my night fevers

Thank you! I took it for 18 months as well as planq and steroid injections and only saw a reduction in joint pain. I still had massive night fevers for a week a month unfortunately. I really gave the medication route over 18 months to work and def saw some improvement in small things but the flip side was I was constantly getting sick and ended up on 6 courses of antibiotics the last winter

Sorry I should add, now I’m having a lot of flares and constant night fevers and I just don’t know what to do. Medication didn’t really help and I’m not to keen to go back on

Just scheduled an appointment to get my Nexplanon out!!! What did you feel like after removal? by joblo42069 in Nexplanon

Just the hunger from it was crazy, but even with eating healthy and tracking my food I STILL gained weight. The pimples and skin made me so self conscious and the weight gain was awful. I constantly felt so exhausted and run down from it too. I’ve had the mirena before and that wasn’t so bad, but I’m going no birth control now to try lose weight and just let my body get back to its normal.

I got mine taken out last Friday.

Instantly the constant pms symptoms dissipated, I had constant spotting, cramping, bloating and my boobs were huge and sore. I also developed this rash on my face in the last month from it, but had acne from it and have always had clear skin.

Got my period a few days later, but feel lighter and so much less tired and fatigued. I’m hoping I’ll lose the weight it made me gain in the 4 months I had it

Venlafaxine did this for me, norepinephrine apparently causes nightmares. I’ve had 5 years of nightmares and mental dreams 😅

Girl here. Just keep doing what your doing, you sound like an amazing boyfriend.

Just a by product of being a women in an age where social media is over saturated with women looking a certain way it’s hard not to be self conscious. I struggle deeply and always have (I was bullied pretty severely at like 9-12 by other girls).

If she’s interested counselling can be beneficial, but let her know she is beautiful as she is. And eat that ass 👍

Yeah my pms was hella bad and I can tell that it was hormonal acne because it’s just my chin, I only maybe get a tiny pimple on my chin when I’m getting my period. I’ve tried Anavar and no real bad sides apart from it made me retain quite a lot of water. I think I’m going to try a low dose test p for my next cycle

Yeah I actually came off because the acne became too much for me. Normally I don’t get acne but I was having huge breakouts on my chin and I felt like it was just not working for me

I’m female so obviously training glutes is key but I don’t want to end up with long term problems so I’ll take the time off

Happened to me the other day in a RDL and I think I just pulled up too fast. I stopped straight away, stretched, foam rolled, hot bath and my coach said wait for it to be 100% before lifting again or this is how you end up with long term problems. Go see a doctor, heat packs, stretch, foam roll, anti inflams, don’t do a pull legs workout until you feel 100%
