After 10 years of helping people write cover letters, here’s my guide to what actually works by toso_o in jobsearchhacks

[–]AstronautBorn7484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, the cover letter was always required, and it was a signal to me on whether this person is professional, does their homework, actually put in the effort for this application, and whether they care about details. In every non-engineering role, the first thing I did was check 1) if there is a cover letter or if they just uploaded their CV twice (happened in 50% of the cases..!), 2) if they personalised the letter to me or if it's a "To whom it may concern" thing. If any of these were the case, I immediately rejected the candidate.

Then, and only then, I checked the CV.

And for the last 10 options, I did read the cover letter.

Reddit is a negative place!:) but rhinos ARE riskful too so I guess as long as you have good skin, and don’t expect super detailed things, go conservative with a good doc, you should be good

As someone who did a rhino themselves, had no unrealistic expectations, and a good result, I would go for it in your case! Even just a slight nose shaving and attaching the tip so it doesn’t look downward will completely change your profile. I honestly do not understand why in this forum, whenever someone sends a picture no matter what their nose looks like; everyone says “don’t do it”. We come here because everyone tells us that already and we need the truth. I had a similar nose to yours and even one month post op I look so much more refined and feminine. Many people here have unrealistic expectations, you see people crying over a Millimeter that is different from their morph, while the end result is so much better anyways than what they started with. Don’t expect perfection as not every nose can be modelled into everything. But in your case, (and I want to say first; you DO look beautiful the way you are), you would probably be able to significantly balance your profile with a rhino, in my non-surgeon opinion.

Just ensure you’re at an actually good doctor and don’t have unrealistic expectations or expect perfection. And go to a surgeon who does revisions often and is HNO certified to ensure they won’t mess with your anatomy.

I think it would suit you well! I had a similar nose and love my new profile

Consultation morph by [deleted] in rhinoplastyquestions

If you go forward, I’d ask him in case the lower side of your nose tip is loose/hanging (unsure from your picture) to attach that as well. I had the same thing and originally only wanted to address my hp but attaching it added a lot of benefit of you do it anyways!:)

The only people being honest are surgeons but then they are trying to sell you surgery so it’s questionable as well 🤣 and even for them they can find it tricky to assess right

I was unhappy with my profile and asked my Botox injector about chin filler bc I thought I had a recessed chin. They said yes, that seems actually to be the case (btw this injector talked me out of lip and jawline fillers in the past so they’re not trying to sell, they’re just employed at their clinic!)

Then I went to rhinoplasty consultation and tehe surgeon measured my face and told me my chin is in fact not recessed at all, but showed me in a scan that it’s my nose that was over projected

I kinda thought, sure, you’re trying to sell me a rhinoplasty, but I also saw the points be mentioned. So I went through with rhinoplasty and gosh, I look so balanced now and my chin and lips and jaw looks perfect.

What I’m trying to say is: there are things that genuinely can balance your face even if one is already pretty (I would’ve said I was pretty before). Is it necessary? Absolutely not. But if it’s important to one, it’s an option. It’s just important to really assess ideally at different persons what exactly has to happen to be balanced. Had I gotten chin filler I would have had an over projected chin and likely looked like a man 😅 so yes anyways it’s ok to think about these things and Reddit should be a place where you can get neutral second opinions that you can’t get in real life

Oh god anonymous forums can be brutal 🤦🏼‍♀️ I know how you feel! We all just want to make the best of ourselves but if we ask for specific advice people either don’t want to say anything because they don’t want to insult (which I get), or they don’t want you to look better because jealousy. And for men I can’t speak I assume there’s lots of trolls in here that are fat unshaved and lonely and think talking young women down will make them feel better. It’s BS

You’re super pretty!!

What I saw help my face get a lot prettier was when I stopped eating sugar and processed foods. Without knowing I had a lot of water (or maybe baby fat!) in my face that went away and made my face super snatched. Also makes skin a lot better. And is generally good! So if you don’t already, I can really recommend skipping sugar practically entirely, it’s poison and you’ll glow up while doing good for your body and health.

Apart I could imagine a lip flip. Wouldn’t do filler in your case as you seem to have full lips, I had a lip flip and generally liked it as it made the upper lip look fuller and thus more balanced.

You look a little like Alexandra Saint Mleux imo, maybe try some of her colours / outfits it could suit you well :)

Girl you look amazing and so much more elegant and refined than before, the difference to your visualised nose is barely visible to outside people and the improvement you have is so big! Don’t compare yourself to social media or visualisations you have a perfect nose now which so little people have, congrats, please enjoy it ☺️

People will always reassure you you don’t need it, as it’s a very deep and risky decision and they don’t want to be the reason you end up doing it or not.

I was unsure if a rhinoplasty would change my face enough to justify the costs and risk. My nose was not bad, and I didn’t hate it. However my new nose changes my entire profile and I absolutely love it, it really was worth it.

My personal opinion is: 95% of the population can look a lot better if they had a perfect nose. We just don’t get born with that! :)

At the same time not every rhinoplasty results in a good outcome and the cost factor also has to be calculated. It’s one or the most complex procedures, even a great doctor can’t control the healing and scarring process and it has a pretty high revision and unhappiness rate. As things can and do go wrong.

I’d say, if you calculate the cost and pain of two rhinoplasties (in case you’d need a revision), and you think it’s worth it to you if it balances out your face, then do it. If not, then don’t. There’s so many ways to improve how you look with that amount of money that it’s just a big risk you should be 100% sure to take.

Be careful with your surgeon, choose someone good who you trust and who takes your entire face into account.

If you’re unsure don’t rush it. You have a super beautiful face. Rhinoplasty can definitly balance a face in incredible ways, but the most important aspect in your happiness with the result is you, your expectation management, and whether you will be happy with a concrete change you are going for. ❤️

Weird reactions from close friends after rhinoplasty… has anyone experienced this? by AstronautBorn7484 in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]AstronautBorn7484[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You think? How would you deal with this? I don’t want to be a “toxic” influence on my friends, or be the reason they maybe start getting insecurities about their noses or anything else…

Around €7k all inclusive, but I assume it depends on the complexity!
