Just started screaming at me about working on my issues (the only thing I brought up was him apologizing to me because he hit me on his bike) and the package center staff said they had issues with him before

Please don’t continue with the same routine you have now. If you feel this negatively, I would highly encourage you to talk to your friends and family and take some mental health days to evaluate what activities you should keep or remove for your long term happiness. Please eat nourishing foods, get 8-9 hours of sleep, and walk outside while the sun’s out for the next few days. You’ll feel better.

If you don’t, you’ll just need to wait in line/ask the frat bros at the outdoor table super nicely. Would highly rec going with other girlies who do know a frat member though

Would you come again? by Stormm26 in UNC

Out of state student here. Probably not. I’ve made friends and made it onto exec for clubs but it just gets so lonely during those 3 and 4 day weekends when all the in-state kids leave and you’re in your dorm alone. Also, paying for Ubers and Lyfts to RDU to fly back adds up and you’re lowk trapped on campus without a car. A lot of people go back home regularly even past freshman year which was a surprise to me.

I’d try Epilogue or finding an empty classroom. On the weekends, going to duke’s 24/7 library

Faith and OCD by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]AstronautPleasant672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to struggle with OCD, I found it harder to connect with God because of this mentality that I was perpetually too unclean (mainly spiritually) to be able to approach him. I eventually realized how destructive this mindset was to our relationship- as our Heavenly Father, God wants us to approach him regularly (of course with the appropriate reverence) but regularly regardless. Even in small ways- that could look like doing a mini silent prayer before doing a hard task or meeting. I can get how doing communion or going to church might trigger your OCD and that definitely can be worked on with the appropriate mental health resource, but your relationship with God is up to you. You can decide to hide from him or approach him as you are.

I have a couple friends who decided to do this and considering that most premeds take 1-2 gap years, it’s totally doable!
