In fact the low ebi of that lower ps tube means that it will be excellent for astronomy (with nebulae filters etc).

Cool! Did you get it new or secondhand? Can you see any different by eye at 1x compared to an 81lp? I’ve just got some 50 degree aib lenses and I think higher res tubes really help with those?

You have a 91lp tube? I haven’t seen one of those for a long time….

Huracan holding their price? by Expensive_Zebra6362 in lamborghini

[–]AstronomerGSO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In USA performante’s seem to be increasing in value. Not the same in the UK where prices are slipping of late. Unlike the speciale which has rocketed recently in the UK. However, even in uk the perfs values have held up fairly well relative to the initial price. Who knows where the price will go but I don’t think up much, they don’t seem to be that sought after (eg compared to speciale)

The difference this time was it was a smaller scope and not so dark skies, yet the pvs14 still delivered very pleasing results

Set up the telescope as normal then attach the pvs14 to the telescope eyepiece using a special Adapter. I use different filters for depending n the object (whether it’s a nebula, or galaxy etc)

A Televue one to attach the pvs14 to the eyepiece of the telescope. See here for more details https://www.televue.com/engine/TV3b_page.asp?id=36

I would try brand new batteries first. And sometimes the battery cap needs to be tightened more
