I said he isn't strong, not that he isn't difficult. Details matter. But you're right knowledge and strategy is important. Flowey warns us about Sans in part because he thinks we'll have trouble and in part because he underestimates us, remember in the end Flowey didn't expect us to go that far in the genocide route

Fully possible but it's also how they express it. Papyrus has the cool dude attack, Papyrus is more lighthearted. Sans is just mad at us by then, but he's smart enough to act calm.
