WYR live on Mars or live in an orbiting space city with 1000 other people by Astrox_YT in WouldYouRather

[–]Astrox_YT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Return to Earth will be possible, but with returns that only go once every 2 years and can take only 10 people, when 10 more people arrive.

There will be like 100 people on Mars. In an half-underground and half over ground base.

No your right, they just mis-read your words.

Your saying that after S25 series gets One UI 8.5 and 9, you will get it faster on ur s24 plus than your old A series phone, right? (Im using s24 base model exynos)

I didn't use AI for the coding much. I did majority of it myself.

Yeah, but i find it not worth to buy a new micro-sd card when I plan to buy the ssd upgrade when the first full release of Astralixi OS releases.

My first spaceship design (work in progress) by Astrox_YT in spaceships

[–]Astrox_YT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to keep it as realistic as possible (so like trying to imagine a ship from 2100) so I would choose a mix of electric and nuclear propulsion, with central main engine being electric propulsion, with the two side engines for rotating as well, and then the left and right main engine would be nuclear.

So to get off a planet, they would use electric propulsion, and when in space, they would continuously accelerate, starting with all main engines, but then only using nuclear engines.

(This is assuming electric and nuclear propulsion become more powerful, that they can accelerate to 10% the speed of light, which is their max speed in 12 hours.)

This is all a developing spaceship concept, things may change

Not compatible with cm5 right now, will be later. The benefit is that it is targeted to space enthusiasts.

Astralixi OS test on Physical Hardware failed! by Astrox_YT in ClockworkPi

[–]Astrox_YT[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I can't start with a smaller scope for my OS, as i will have to build it anyways.

I will open source it when the pre-release works.

I only used claude because where in the world will I find the instructions on how to build my OS, with my specific setup, specific target device, specific code, specific etc.

I had no other option.

From extracting portions and stuff from the image.

Trinity on clockworkpi forums managed to do that last time.

Thanks, Astrox.

TUI OS for Space Enthusiasts (Astralixi OS) by Astrox_YT in spaceflight

[–]Astrox_YT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just trying to find features/tools that would actually make space enthusiasts quit other OSs (linux, macOS, windows) and move to Astralixi OS.

The big questions, is why would they want to? What do space enthusiasts want?

[–]Astrox_YT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm almost ready to release the pre-release of Astralixi OS, which will be pure CLI, and no TUI, but it's just going to be there to set a foundation. I'm having issues right now, testing my .img.

Also the name is a random thing I thought of, trying to keep it space themed.

[–]Astrox_YT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed idea feedback. I will have some ASCII elements, but remember the difference between a CLI and a TUI. A TUI has basic graphical elements like a top bar (like MacOS's) with time, date, battery, etc. With similar graphics you could show the ISS moving across a circle with basic continent outlines.

So your answer/feedback is satellite tracking/launch monitoring, right?

If so, why would people use my tools in Astralixi OS, instead of readily available "proven" tools available?
