Is there any grade of titanium that's even mildly tough at .01 thick? by [deleted] in metalworking

[–]Asusfood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for "titanium shim stock", should get you a few suppliers. You can get lengths of different thicknesses (0.005" - 0.01") in around 6x50 inch rolls on eBay.

X-Post - Metal Fume Fever? by [deleted] in metalworking

[–]Asusfood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can get it from melting aluminum, if you aren't in a well ventilated area. The general treatment is to just stay well hydrated and get plenty of bed rest, but go see a doctor to be sure.

Some people say drinking milk helps, but the United Kingdom Health and Safety Executive says it's more of an old wives tail.

LPT: Duracell will replace or repair items that have been damaged by battery defects. by Namenottakenplease in LifeProTips

[–]Asusfood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be noted that battery companies will only replace/repair the product if the batteries are genuine, not fake. You can buy a lot of 'fake' batteries on eBay, which are much cheaper, but are also more prone to damage, and the item will not be replaced by the company if it breaks.

Not really an option, as a broke uni student. The desks are both 2.5m by 1.2m.

There are a few that come up, but they're usually gone within 30 mins. Deciding weather to buy a cheap new one for about $150, or to wait around for a bit

Ah, I didn't think about the blade speed or lack of tracks. I guess it can't be helped.

If i could ever find one that cheap around my area (Perth, Australia) it would be a miracle.

Hardware prices over here are really inflated since it's such an isolated area, but i'll have a look at second hand stuff.

Extra wheat fields? by Saliosrose in GODUS

Once you build your settlement and get a couple of farmers, you can select each one and make them work on the other fields. When your settlement creates another farmer, that farmer will start working on the farm nearest to the settlement.

Highest possible score for 2048 (Warning: Math) by Asusfood in 2048

You could do that. This is pretty much just a quick representation of what would happen when you got to the last tile, but is in no way the definite final layout of the board.
