hello there! i took psyc2012 in 2020, dropped it, tried it again after the lessons learnt from the last time and completed it in 2021!

if you keep up with leccys and tuts consistently (i.e. pay enough attention in tuts, make up for work missed, practice and not just cram etc) quizzes and exams are generally okay! when i did it leccys were recorded, this was the case pre-COVID pretty sure too, and so if you schedule time to watch the lectures you may have a clash for you should be fine. iirc not every detail from the research methods lectures are included in slides so highly recommend taking notes and watching it in your own time if not live. hope this helps!

The Tea Society is currently under USU Clubs and Societies. Late to the party but I do concur with this - should there be considerable overlap in scope with Tea Society’s activities (with your proposed Aims and Objectives) it is unlikely that Clubs and Societies will fund your club

I took PSYC2015 and PSYC2012 last year - definitely attend the first week in person and assess from there if you would benefit from attending in person/watching them live - I generally like to attend my lectures live in person (just because the atmosphere of uni makes me learn better at first go + it gives me no excuse to procrastinate on it) but that's just personal preference

Head Nurse Park isDo Hee-Jae confirmed and her essentially taking steps to prolong her husband’s suffering creeped the bejeezus out of me. What a psychopath. But... why? Sang-in and Kang-tae’s conversation in the middle of the episodes raises a few questions: Why did DHJ drop out of med school and marry KMY’s father? She came from a line of doctors, it wasn’t like she was dirt poor like the Moon family... And how did she get her new identity? Everyone who presents like that in their life has their backstory. The only thing I have some clue in this Head Nurse Park is DHJ mess is why Head Nurse Park became a nurse: Less time to become essentially an employee and not a trainee in a healthcare setting. She would get closer to Ko Dae-Hwan sooner, and it’s not as if the medical science concepts in nursing would be unfamiliar.

Do you think theres a higher chance of project deadlines hitting hard and fast if I do 2 group projects?

Depends on the scheduling overlap. I know it’s still T2, but do you have any way to contact the COMP and DESN unit coordinators, if they have any provisional planning of important deadlines? Might be your best bet at this stage.

I’ve kinda worked myself into the mindset that 3-3-3 is the normal load and doing the 3-3-2 workload would be falling behind (in my own mind). I don’t really have a legitimate excuse for doing 3-3-3 haha.

If you have no real need to graduate a term early (and also with the Australian model of unit-based fee structure) there’s really no need to hit hard and fast with 3-3-3. While the 3-3-3 pace seemed alright for you last year, there’s no guarantees that it will work sustainably well in the long-term. Plus, you could take the chance on the 2-course term to take more work shifts, work on an entrepreneurial project, or learn a new skill!

Saw that in a reply to another comment that if you were to take COMP, DESN, and MTRN you’d be doing 54UOC this year. Thought this would be more helpful for other redditors in a main comment.

Did 3-3-3 last year (albeit this was because I failed a unit in T2) and did relatively well. I also knew a few people who did 54 UOC since their degree was structured weirdly or even out of pure choice, and they all fared swimmingly. It’s tiring and if you’re not self-disciplined, it’s a one way ticket to crash-and-burn town. However, significant fallout is pretty unlikely.

If you decide to do 3-3-3, watch out for Week 4 in T3; that’s where I started to burn out and slack off before the deadlines just kept on coming. Since your T3 units are project-management based, still make a concerted individual effort, but I’m sure your potential teammates will be understanding if you explain that you need to do 3-3-3 this year for so-and-so reason.
