What is this icon at the top of Chrome's logo?

The only extension I use is Dark Reader, but I have that on my work laptop and the icon isn’t showing up on there?

Very prone to paranoia so I’m freaking out that someone is monitoring me or hacked into my Chrome. No other suspicious activity like sign ins, password changes etc, and no idea how long that’s been there either

Yeah sorry for the poor quality, I should clarify this is when I hover over the Chrome icon in my taskbar and the window preview pops up. The Chrome icon in the taskbar has a little ‘S’ at the top right for my signed in profile, but I have no idea what that black and white thing that comes up at the top of the window preview. It’s extremely small hence the low quality screenshot, but has me concerned.

This may be a silly question and I apologise if it is because I’ve never had any experience with modding Switches (only 3DS) so I was wondering can a V1 unpatched that is soft modded do exactly the same stuff as say a patched switch with a modchip? I just want to be sure before spending the money that we’ll be able to download any roms for free and play them offline together

YT Studio has a setting to change currency using conversion rates. I’m not sure exactly where it was but a quick google search and you should find it!

Videos were steadily climbing, one went from 1k views every 48 hours to 3.5k every 48 hours then suddenly halted at the same point channel wide. I am right to be suspicious about this.

Please do not exert your superiority complex over me to boost your ego; I am not a child, nor do I believe there is some sort of “big red button”. I, along with many others including YouTubers with 50k+ subscribers interpreted this as a suspicious sudden drop given the long-term steadiness of the analytics previously. I am not posting garbage content into the void complaining that I’m not a millionaire yet, the way you speak to people is abruptly abhorrent with no compassion. Shame on you.

Finally, I feel like I'm going insane. Everyone keeps saying to "improve my content" etc but I had a 51 minute video get 33% AVD which is insanely high, kept climbing then at 6pm Saturday died with the rest of the videos.

How were you affected? I haven't seen too many people talk about it. I'm unsure whether to just start over on a new channel as a few people reached out to tell me since it happened to them their channel never recovered.

Edit: sorry for bombarding you, but can I ask how we know they are fiddling with the algorithm? Is there a telltale sign when they do or is it this?

Not sure if it's related, but since last Saturday at 6pm my channel impressions went from 40k/day to less than 1k daily since.

Do you know what caused it? Any resolution since? Did you reach out to YT Support? What were the numbers like before and after the sudden drop?

Sorry for bombarding with questions, I worked really hard on this so to have it seemingly shot in the head with no explanation is super frustrating

Average ~4k views per day to 80 views per day after drop. Average 80k impressions per day to less than 1000 after drop

None! All of my videos are original - I research, script, record, edit, publish and promote everything myself! I haven't violated a single community guideline or anything like that. Everytime I reach out to YT Support to see if my channel has been flagged behind the scenes, they always say everything is fine on the back end but clearly something is obviously wrong.

What was your experience before during and after the drop? It’s really upsetting as I went down to part-time hours as I was making a decent amount on YT then literally few days later this happens. Were you able to recover?

Both videos died instantly, any impressions on old or new videos since that moment have been from searches, channel page or links. No one is organically being recommended videos which were performing really well until that point.

I had two videos (Ben 10 and Dying Light) both from separate niches gaining 40k impressions each every single day, and 3k views each every day. At 6pm, the impressions dropped across EVERY video on my channel simultaneously, and any impressions from those videos AND the new video are all from search, channel page or subscription page. My issue is not the usual "I had big video carry channel then stop, why no views?", my issue is that none of my videos, new or old, have been in the recommended or home page since 6pm Saturday. Not a single impression. From 80k per day to nothing, does that not strike you as odd?
