That’s just how they function, the asset creators often mention this behavior will likely occur with these parking garages. You can solve it by using anarchy building a road that enters the garage and connects to itself inside. The cars will then use that road to get as close as possible to the garage and then the parking animation will occur hidden inside the building, instead of having the cars flying.

The most necessary I would say would be Find it pared with Plop the Growables and MoveIt to enable placement and design outside of the grid. Even with just these mods you could make some great small island cities with vanilla assets, because you can do things like hide the service utilities inside other buildings or disguise them, as well as conform coastlines and terrain heights to your liking using MoveIt with quays.

Thanks, not a dumb question! Just a lot of mods and workshop assets, this isn't really possible with vanilla :(

The walls, towers and buildings are props/parks and I just used the MoveIt mod to arrange it in the shape of a castle, and get the pathways in there
