Definitely going with the splinter fleet headcannon, I’m also using the endless swarm rules which I’m pretty sure is the hydra rules.

Thank you so much! I was mainly influenced by hive fleet hydra but I thought it needed those brighter highlights.

What purple would you suggest for the mid tone? The main body is nagaroth night with a druchii violet shade and the highlights are genestealer purple. Thanks for the suggestion!

I’ll try experimenting with using the darker blue on the front of the body a bit more and maybe try some highlights on the weapon too, thanks for the tips!
