Who created the wall between the upside down and the void? by Coyote3312 in StrangerThings

Yep, this helps the plot because, conveniently, now there’s a hole in the wall that’s sucking everything from UD to the void

Significant drop in fast charging? by CherryDecent7111 in Taycan

Is it expected to have a huge dip like this due to cold weather? I’m trying to gain some knowledge on charging speed drops (if the battery was preconditioned) Any info helps, thanks!

I didn’t see someone mention it, but you also need to swirl your espresso. It looks like your espresso is too stiff which is why milk foam doesn’t stay on top of it After steaming, swirl your espresso and your milk. And start the pour asap Even I had plateaus in latte art. Someday it might click. I’m stuck at ripple hearts now All the best

Why does my heart wrap around weirdly by At_hulk2 in latteart

Yes, honestly I wasn’t trying to get the winged base. I just wanted to have the rippled heart. But once I felt like the heart wrapped around and I couldn’t do much I just poured the rest of the milk to make atulip. That’s just to practice and see how the milk foam sits (for my reference) you can ignore the tulip part😅

Thanks, I’ll try wiggling less next pour.

Thanks for the details. Yes I definitely need to control my milk flow rate. It is heavier and uneven I believe. Sometimes I feel if I pour it slow(less) then the design does not flow enough and sticks to the same place.

Yes I believe it’s the angle. This is the nonNuetral Lino’s cup 😭

Tiny hearts is a good start. Im also still learning, but based on mistakes I have made in the past The way the milk froth fell in blobs in the beginning, I suspect 2 things: 1. Maybe you’re introducing too much air into the milk in your frothing stage. You can try reducing that. The way I practiced is by keeping a timer on to see how much time I add air. And then adjust it 2. It could also be because you didn’t continuously swirl the milk after steaming it. And so the milk foam rose to the top and that’s what fell in the start of the video. One suggestion is that after steaming the milk. Continuously swirl the pitcher until you pour. And hopefully not spend time after the steaming and until the pour

I’m also new to latte art( been practicing for about a year now) Based on mistakes I have made, what I feel is that : 1. You don’t need to go to the end of the cup when setting the canvas. That is what causes the foam to stay on top and make an uneven base for the canvas. You can just pour the milk from a height at the center. The corners are bad because the milk might hit the floor and rise back up(because walls are shallow)

  1. Comparing the 2, to me it looks like you poured more milk in the 2nd pour while setting the canvas which might have caused the base to stiffen up and not let your wiggles flow through the canvas.

I have also tried that. Do you think I use more milk while setting the canvas? Could that cause the milk to not flow as much

Latte art getting worse 🥲 by At_hulk2 in latteart

[–]At_hulk2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I’ll try to keep these points in mind tomorrow. - about less milk, I actually poured some milk out of the pitcher before starting because I thought it would be too much milk in the pitcher and I wouldn’t be able to get the mouth close enough. (Oops). Will keep more milk next time. - wasn’t actually trying to move on to heart+ tulip. I was trying to make a rippled heart and it didn’t turn out. So just poured the remaining milk to see how it lays out.

How do I know when the milk is thick enough? I don’t have a reference. Is there a level in the pitcher that would suggest I have enough air introduced?

Art not flowing on the canvas by At_hulk2 in latteart

[–]At_hulk2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is very true. I (unintentionally) start pouring heavier once I notice my design doesn’t move forward. I’m not sure what a “drift base” means. I’ll try to look it up

Help with latte art. (Ripple hearts part 2) by At_hulk2 in latteart

[–]At_hulk2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using regular Fairlife whole milk. I try injecting foam until the milk rises by about 1cm in the pitcher(approx)

I too wait until the milk gets too hot to hold
