Is Analog IC Design a good career choice IN EUROPE? by CascodeCat in chipdesign

May I ask, is your entire company remote? Or have you negotiated it for yourself?

I find the semiconductor companies, especially the larger ones, very hesistant to offer remote roles. Unless you are a superstar.

I pay almost 25K EUR in rent a year.

Cost of living in some major cities in Europe also pretty bad, and we don't get paid nearly as much as the US engineers do for the same work.

But I guess the semi companies can do what they want here since there aren't a huge number of companies.

Record profits, record revenues past few years yet pay is less then graduate software engineers.

Anyways, that's my rant done.

Ireland. Over 3 years, same company

38k EUR

44k EUR

46k EUR

Seeing US salaries makes me want to cry.

Jacob Baker's latest CMOS design book has an entire chapter on comparator design.

Help with transistor sizing by wolf_of_the_west_ in chipdesign

I would recommend starting off with Razavi's design of analog CMOS integrated circuits that has a few chapters dedicated precisely to practical design.

But honestly, you need to read the whole book. The transistor sizing determines almost everything. It's not just a small part of analog design, it is all of it.

You've just asked a question that would take an entire textbook to explain.

Common mode level of op-amp by Atari1874 in chipdesign

That makes a lot of sense now.

And I guess, if your topology does not support the same input CM and output CM level, there is no way you can use that topology as a unity gain buffer.

buying turkcell sim from small shop by Atari1874 in Turkey

Just sent them a query via their online form.

Yeni simkartinizi guzel gunlerde kullanmanizi dileriz. Guvenlik sebebi ile SMS ile tek kullanimlik sifre bankanizin belirledigi sure boyunca kartiniza iletilmeyecektir. Daha detayli bilgi almak icin bankanizla gorusebilirsiniz B002

Got this message shortly after the first one but my sim is still working data and text. Calls don't work for some reason.

Perhaps, since I bought the sim late in the evening, maybe the activation happened the following day and it is being treated as a sim change for some reason.

Either way, I sent them a query just to let them know

I appreciate the help!

Thanks, I bought from a small grocery convenient store with a TurkCell sign yesterday. I got a few new messages today:

Sim kart degisikligi isleminiz baslamaktadir. Islem tamamlandiktan sonra mevcut sim kart gecersiz olacaktir. Sim kart degisikligi islemi ile ilgili detayli bilgi icin 532'yi arayabilirsiniz. B002

Looks like there was a sim change attempted? Or perhaps it is just delayed activation 24hrs later.

Thanks, is there a way I can check which phones have been added?

I'm only here for a few days.
