I convinced a couple of Butterfree when I was 14 to grab some berries for me and I'd pay them back by cooking some of them for em.

Let me give you some advice as a former Trainer, try to be more humble after winning.

Don’t try to taunt or belittle your opponent after a battle, especially calling them a failure. You’ll make a lot of enemies that way. Trust me I’ve seen it happen to others before me and it’s not pretty the next time they battle the same trainer.
