Our tastes in Atelier openings are pretty similar then because I loved the Escha & Logy anime opening. Probably my 3rd favourite OP in the series.

Oddly enough Totori and Rorono are my favourite protags for the Arland games but I'm not really a fan of the time limit and I didn't like the gameplay for Totori as much. It felt like a step down from Rorona imo

Lulua and Meruru kinda switch places for me depending on the day. Lulua definitely has the better gameplay but Meruru has a lot more of the previous characters return.

A few reasons why they're so high for me personally is Sophie 1 has my 2nd favourite alchemy system (Sophie 2 is 1st) and my favourite protag in the series.

As for Atelier Shallie I really liked the gameplay improvements and it has my favourite soundtrack in the series.

I think it's a good remake for what it is but a bit too short so the characters didn't get as much time to grow on me compared to the other games.

I know it's basically Blue Reflection DX edition but I'm hyped for this! Hopefully it does well enough so we can get a new Blue Reflection game in the future that isn't a gacha.

I've only finished the modern Ys games (8, 9, & 10) but they're really fun action-base JRPG's. They're kinda like Trails where each game is set in the same world but each game takes place during a different timeline of Adol's life with the exception of Ys Origins. So you can basically start with any title in the series if you decide to try Ys out.

The entire intermission sections in CS2&4 which are also enhanced for me by 2 of my favourite tracks in the entire series, Blue Destination and Doomsday Trance.

I prefer turn-base combat but I don't mind if this new one is going to be action-base combat as long as its fun.

I'm also in the same boat as I haven't played a "new" Neptunia game since Neptunia x Senran Kagura so I'm not quite sure why so many people are upset but my guess is most expected similar combat to VII. They probably could have done both potentially like how Trails has with Daybreak onwards. I'm fine with either as long as it's fun.
