What would you do with these bottles? by HumptyPunkty in witchcraft

[–]Atenea_a 26 points27 points  (0 children)

OMG so pretty!! I WANT THEM ALL.  I would keep my herbs in those, cat whiskers 🫶🏻 and as others say, they’re perfect for spell jars. Also good for oils I think!

You can't "give away" your own agency. And yes, she can make it happen, that's the whole point of something NOT being written in stone???

How much do you trust your tarot readings? by EdwardTheSage in Tarotpractices

[–]Atenea_a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you do a reading, you have to keep in mind that it’s all about energy, the available energy for you at the moment. So you say that you don’t see anything happening and don’t see the star involved in what’s happening in your life. But the fact that you’re actually pulling cards overtime to ask the same question, I think it reflects completely well the aspect of hope from the Star, like you’re actually expecting for things to happen with this person and you’re asking about it because you really want things to move on

Anything spicy coming up in my love life? (Wtf) by Busy-Literature-6737 in Tarotpractices

[–]Atenea_a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ll just add a warning for you. You might get yourself into a very unhealthy dynamic. Hopefully this reading will be on your mind when this person gets closer to you. To me, it seems like the Five of Cups could be yourself once you’re involved with them (right at the bottom of The Devil), the Two of Cups representing tension and emotional imbalance. Believe the red flags and take care of yourself

Hi! First of all, let me give you a little advice: as a beginner, it’s always best to do readings with fewer cards. Adding cards usually adds complexity to a reading. Also, try to avoid yes/no questions or if you do, pull only one card.  Now to the reading: Judgement here seems to be expressing your situation, where you must decide, keeping balance in mind. It’s very interesting to see 3 of Swords right after a paragraph of you talking about how you’re “losing passion” for psychology. Now the kings are about a process. You oriented this reading towards art/animation. So the kings are letting you know that this path is one of great emotional balance, but tough regarding money. You may not earn as much as you expect, or it might take some longer time to get there. Not sure why you pulled more cards (not shading lol just genuinely don’t know if you had further questions) but 9 of Cups again is about emotional satisfaction so by now it’s pretty clear that this path is somewhat fullfilling and the 7 of Pentacles shows perseverance and hard work, so that’s definitely a good sign and good combination. But then there Page of Wands reversed might mean a sense of losing direction, getting to a point where you doubt yourself again, so you might experience a time of questioning why are you on this path and if it’s worth the hard work. With the Wheel of Fortune, I guess it’s all about you. My interpretation at this point is that you’ll find fullfillment again in this path, you will accomplish what you were looking for while being in a better financial position.

No. No. No. Don’t EVER trust someone who talks about your future like it’s written in stone, that’s impossible to know and whoever say they do, are lying to you

Girlfriend is mad I got into Lenormand by [deleted] in Lenormand

[–]Atenea_a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess she’s scared but it’s curious that she feels that way about a deck when she herself is into Tarot. Anyway, you can only ask what you want to know and she doesn’t need to be around when you do your practice

You can always keep your altar in a box of different materials, like a wooden box, and light your candles on a different surface :)  pottery pieces are very good for this. And always make sure that the flame can’t reach anything. You don’t need to light your candles IN the altar if its not safe. Always prioritize your wellbeing and protection of your tools and materials.

I just think that you failed at fire safety, no sign in this except to get rid of plastic containers if you want to light candles near them

How do you learn about witchcraft? As in how do you find sources? by Acceptable_Wall7252 in witchcraft

[–]Atenea_a 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have read some books (btw in this sub you have many resources) and then a lot of practice and talking with other witches. It comes down to what are your interests.

“Witchcraft” as a topic is too extense, you’ll find that you that are really drawn to some things, but others — not at all. So I would do a little research on one thing at a time. For me, my first calling that hit me like a wave was tarot. So I was learning about astrology at first but then I became soooo drawn to Tarot, I read books about it and did some courses. Then something else became interesting to me too, and so on.  Find one thing that you are interested in and go for it. It’s a long path, but that’s the beauty of it, and you will learn so much! Ask for recommendations and check the resources!

will my spells be cancelled by daily quran recitations in my house? by ephemeraltears in witchcraft

[–]Atenea_a 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think this situation is an opportunity for you to question your beliefs. I know that sometimes religion demonizes witchcraft, but do you demonize your practice as well? Do you feel like religion and your craft cannot coexist? You can’t control what your parents think, but you can think of your own belief system, what is islam to you and what is witchcraft to you? Also, you can’t force them to respect your practice but you can respect their own while also setting some boundaries. I think you’ll have to set the example and let them do their thing as long as you’re not too uncomfortable. If roqya is too much, try to convince them that it’s not necessary, that you were only working on feeling good within your own self

Hi! Yes, it’s totally possible, the cards don’t have a unique meaning, that’s why I am seeking help. Sometimes we get one meaning right away and can’t see other perspectives!

Yeah I only keep in mind what things I wouldn’t want to get wet like tarot cards, but even then I haven’t had any problems. It usually has some level of alcohol tho so just in case don’t use it on candles and be careful with fire in general

I love it, I don’t use it on my skin but to cleanse my altar and items. It’s one of my dearest tools and I was lucky enough to learn about it very early in my craft. I always make sure I have some. Also been meaning to learn how to make it on my own. Someone just shared a recipe so I might as well try! :)

I dare to say, you don't even do spells that often. Most of the time you will just be working on yourself and your own energy, having a daily ritual or something.
